- Assistant Front Office Manager

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at Killaloe Hotel & Spa, situated in Killaloe, County Clare. Killaloe is a picturesque tourist town twinned with Ballina on the Tipperary side straddling the River Shannon. Killaloe is well-known for its fishing and boating activities. The hotel is approximately 1.2 km from the centre of Killaloe. The hotel overlooks the Kincora Marina which has direct boating access to Lough Derg and The River Shannon.

The property comprises of a substantial modern hotel having 35 en-suite bedrooms, lounge, function room, Restaurant and Sionna Spa. The property has a commanding view over Lough Derg to the rear with ample car-parking and gardens to the front.

As part of our front office team, you will provide efficient, prompt, courteous and proactive guest experiences and care. Knowledge of revenue management is crucial but most importantly ensuring our guests have a warm, pleasant and positive interaction with the property before, during and after each stay is paramount in line with Killaloe Hotel & Spa brand guidelines.

Making sure front office staff are aware of all rates, packages and are capable of delivering guest needs while maximising hotel revenue, Maintain strong financial control at the front desk

Monitor and improve the performance of the front desk team on a continuous basis

Ensure correct SOPs and procedures are in place for the smooth running of the reception desk

Work closely with the sales and marketing manager to ensure revenue is being maximised.

Work with the accommodation manager to ensure a good working relationship between departments.

Availability to work a variety of early and late shifts will be required.

The Role

At the Sionna Spa we want to create a relaxing atmosphere for our guests so they can escape the stresses of everyday life and indulge in the soothing and calming surroundings of our state of the art spa. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating and achieving this exceptional tranquil haven for our guests

Primary Duties

  • To ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the Spa.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all treatment rooms, in accordance with the Health and Safety and hygiene legislation.
  • Assist and perform various demonstrations and events.
  • Courtesy to guests and other members of staff at all times.
  • To perform all treatments to the highest standards.
  • To perform as a professional with a friendly attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Spa Manager

Requirements

1 Year minimum experience.

 

The Ideal candidate will have the following;

  • Must have previous experience.
  • Must hold an ITEC, CIBTAC or CIDESCO qualification and be qualified in both face and body treatments
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Take pride in their appearance and keep up to date with the spa industry
  • Be enthusiastic, confident and passionate about the beauty industry
  • Ensure all treatments are carried out to the highest possible standard
  • Deep Tissue Massage

 

- Spa Supervisor

The Position

We are looking for a self motivated Spa Supervisor/ Beauty Therapist with proven experience in the Health and Beauty Industry. This is a great opportunity for an experienced beauty/spa therapist wishing to gain reception experience. The successful candidate will assist the Spa Manager in the day to day running of Sionna Spa.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing a busy reception in a spa and will also be a trained therapist; will perform treatments as needed as well as managing the spa.

Duties

  • Maintain client database, schedule appointments.
  • Assist the Spa Manager in ensuring the budget requirements and retail sales are adhered to, the emphasis being on profitability.
  • To ensure that the facility is adequately manned at all times. Assist the Spa Manager in coordinating the day to day running of the treatment area. -Ability to interact and understand clients needs and ability to provide unsurpassed customer service.
  • To insure proper induction and training of all therapists is carried out.
  • Carry out beauty and massage treatments for guests.
  • Provide 1st Class Customer Service.
  • Product Sales

Experience/Qualifications

  • Must be a qualified spa/beauty therapist
  • Desirable – 1 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity / similar role
  • Must hold relevant qualifications
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate the team
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Commercial acumen

The Position

A key part of the hotel senior management team, this role is ideally suited to someone who has strong commercial and hotel experience whilst remaining true to the core principles of the role; namely a belief in the importance of each and every person. This role involves managing and co-ordinating the sales effort of the property, in conjunction with ensuring effective and creative communication with all. Knowledge of digital marketing, social media and key account management are all desirable. This role will suit someone with high energy and enthusiasm.
