Food and Beverage Manager
Killaloe is a picturesque tourist town twinned with Ballia on the Tipperary side straddling the River Shannon. Killaloe is well-known for its fishing and boating activities. The hotel is approximately 1.2 km from the centre of Killaloe, and overlooks the Kincora Marina which has direct boating access to Lough Derg / The River Shannon.
The property comprises of a substantial modern hotel having 32 en suite bedrooms, lounge, function room, kitchen, bar, reception, ancillary areas and a spa that is currently under construction. The hotel has a commanding view over Lough Derg to the rear with ample car-parking and gardens to the front. The property has been refurbished throughout and is finished to a very high standard.

The Position
Job Overview:
The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the operational and financial success of the Food & Beverage function within the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of service and quality are consistently met. This role requires a hands-on leader who can support and supervise the food and beverage areas, from bar and restaurant operations to conference and banqueting services. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and Sales Manager to enhance guest satisfaction and continuously improve the F&B offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise all food and beverage areas to ensure smooth operations.
Support hotel events to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
Greet guests warmly and cheerfully, ensuring their needs are met throughout their stay.
Manage F&B rostering and assist in the training of new staff.
Ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages, maintaining acceptable standards.
Supervise Bar, Restaurant, and Conference & Banqueting operations and personnel daily.
Implement continuous improvements and upgrades to enhance the F&B offering and increase guest satisfaction.
Lead and direct service across all outlets.
Liaise with the Head Chef and Sales Manager to coordinate marketing promotions and menu offerings.
Candidate Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of food and beverage trends, including wines, whiskeys, and coffees.
Proven management experience in a hotel setting.
Essential experience in conference & banqueting, particularly leading weddings/functions.
Strong customer service focus.
Hotel management qualification is desirable but not essential.
Proficient in IT, particularly with Rezlynx, Alkimii, and Microsoft
Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
Experience in cashing up and financial management of F&B operations.

- Front Office and Admin Associates (full-time & part-time)
Job Summary:
The Front Office & Administrative Associate is responsible for managing the reception area, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, providing customer service, and performing various administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a friendly demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet guests upon arrival, assist with check-in and check-out processes, and provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
- Communication: Handle incoming calls, manage correspondence, and ensure clear and effective communication between guests, staff, and management.
- Administration: Maintain guest records, process reservations, handle billing and payments, and perform other clerical duties.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Multilingual abilities are highly advantageous.

Housekeeping Associates are critical to maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel. These positions can be both full-time and part-time, depending on the hotel’s needs. Housekeeping Associates ensure that guest rooms and public areas are clean, tidy, and inviting at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room Cleaning: Clean guest rooms according to hotel standards. Tasks include dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, and changing linens.
- Public Area Maintenance: Keep all public areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms, clean and well-maintained.
- Laundry Service: Manage the washing, drying, and folding of hotel linens and towels.
- Supply Management: Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies, and mini bar items.
- Guest Interaction: Provide polite and professional interaction with guests when encountered. Address guest queries and report any issues to the management.

The Seasonal Part-Time Gardener is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of the hotel’s gardens and landscaped areas. This role involves a variety of tasks related to planting, maintaining, and grooming outdoor and possibly indoor green spaces to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Garden Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, weeding, and edging pathways.
- Plant Care: Water, fertilise, and prune plants and flowers to ensure healthy growth and vibrant displays.
- Landscape Design: Assist in the design and implementation of new garden plans and landscapes under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Pest Control: Monitor plants and garden areas for signs of pests or disease and apply appropriate treatments in accordance with environmental safety standards.
- Tool Maintenance: Maintain gardening tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Waste Management: Dispose of all garden waste in an environmentally friendly and efficient manner.
- Seasonal Projects: Participate in seasonal projects such as planting spring bulbs, preparing beds for annuals, and winterising gardens.
